Soft skill training: Self-awareness training – Your communication, team management and leadership style

“Your future success is determined by how you handle your own strengths and weaknesses, your ability to handle conflicts, failure and people. Your soft skills give employers an idea of your personal habits and how willing you are to learn from the past.”

Questions you might have

  • What are my strengths and weaknesses?
  • How do I answer personality-related questions during an interview?
  • Am I a team player?
  • What is my communication style?
  • Is there a perfect personality for the industry I work in or the job I want?
  • Must I be extrovert?
  • How do I express my personality in my CV and on my LinkedIn profile?

We get hired for our skills! But it is how we manage our strengths and weaknesses that defines our future success

In this workshop, you will learn how your soft skills are connected to your personality. While your technical competences will open doors for you into the job market, it is your understanding of how to use your soft skills that determines whether you succeed in your job search and in your future career. Soft skills include personality, attitudes, motivation, values, communication style, emotional intelligence, and your ability to deal with setbacks and failure. Together, these things describe you as person. During the workshop, you will perform a self-assessment (LUMINA Spark or Birkman). For more information about the assessment tools, see the section on our website entitled ‘Assessment’.

The workshop is performed in smaller groups where you will work independently and with others. The aim is to support you in understanding how your own personality fits into a team dynamic. There is no perfect or optimal personality. It is about you!

If you understand who you are, you can ace any interview

In this workshop, we will walk you through the most common interview questions. We will also share some tips and tricks that you should consider before you attend an interview.

Common questions asked by recruiters and hiring managers are: Who are you? Give an example of a situation where you had an argument with your boss? How did you handle the situation and what did you learn? What are your weaknesses? What does that say about you? We will also prepare you for curveball questions such as: What does your bathroom cabinet say about you?

Key takeaways

By increasing your self-awareness, you will increase your self-confidence. An increased self-confidence will build your ability to handle the interview processes, feedback and team management situations with grace and aplomb. Altogether, you will grow as a person and as a leader. Contact us for more information about our soft skills training workshop.
